Couple announces divorce, cites Donald Trump as the reason

Donald Trump has been doing more than just dividing the United States - he has apparently also been breaking up marriages.

US socialite couple Dave and Lynn Aronberg have announced they're splitting up and they cite Trump as the reason.

Dave and Lynn were married for less than two years, according to the Palm Beach Post.

They could not get over their political differences.

According to a media release, Lynn, 36, is a "staunch Republican and supporter of President Trump" whereas Dave, 46, is a Democrat.

Lynn, an ex-Miami Dolphins cheerleader, says she felt "increasingly isolated" in the marriage to her Democrat husband.

The release shows that the divorce will come at a cost for now ex-husband Dave. "The woman will receive $100,000 worth of benefits in exchange for her signature on the dotted line".

"The deal calls for Aronberg, 46, to pay half of Lynn's rent in a luxury Boca Raton condo until next summer. She's also reportedly getting a brand new BMW and $40,000 cash."

She filed for divorce in March, only two months after Trump was elected president.
