CIA flights confirmed

A Government-run agency has for the first time provided official records confirming the landing in Poland of planes associated with the CIA's secret detainee programme, two human rights groups have said.

The Open Society Justice Initiative and the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights said that the data added support to a 2007 Council of Europe report that accused 14 European Governments of permitting the CIA to run detention centres or carry out secret flights between 2002 and 2005.
