This is the chilling moment a suspected rapist was captured on CCTV carrying a semi-conscious woman in his arms just minutes before she was brutally attacked close to a popular nightspot in Birmingham, England.
The 25-year-old victim had been drinking at a bar shortly before the attack happened and leftwith a man with dwarfism, known only as Kevin.
The pair then started talking to a black man, said to have been known to Kevin, who they saw outside a branch of Sainsbury's on Broad Street.
Police say the man spoke to Kevin before lifting the woman up into his arms and carrying her away.
A short time later she was found nearby on Tennant Street in a distressed state.
The victim has allowed West Midlands Police detectives to release footage of her terrifying ordeal on October 19 last year in a bid to help them catch her attacker.
The force also re-issued a picture showing the back of Kevin which was taken inside the nightclub bar.
Detective Constable Danette Calvey, of West Midlands Police, said: "There will undoubtedly be people who will watch these images and wrongly judge the woman."
"It must be remembered that this woman has been attacked and that she has displayed remarkable courage by allowing us to release the footage.
"She hopes that these new images may jog someone's memory and that their call may make the difference to her attacker being caught or left to roam the streets.
"I implore people to take a good look at the CCTV and focus on the man.
"Do you recognise him? Were you in the area around the time of the attack? I appreciate it was a long time ago but the situation will have looked very odd and will undoubtedly have stayed with you."
She added: 'I would also appeal to the man in the footage to call me. Please, come forward now. This is your chance to explain.
We will not give up on finding the man who carried out the attack.
