A young child has died and a man has been injured following a devastating house fire in Melbourne’s north.
Emergency services responded to reports of a fire on Dorothy St in Fawkner after 2pm on Monday (local time), with fire crews arriving to the house fully engulfed.
First responders commencedCPR on a child, aged 3, but the child died at the scene.
Another adult occupant is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
