These include “ICE Breaker”, “ICE Be Gone” and “No More Mr ICE Guy”.
Protests have erupted across the US since unarmed civilian Renee Good was shot dead in Minneapolis by an ICE agent.
The January 7 (local time) incident followed the Trump Administration’s decision to send 3000 ICE and border patrol agents to the area in what was termed Operation Metro Surge.
Good, 37, was protesting the immigration raids when the mother of one was killed by a series of three shots.
The White House and the Department of Homeland Security have stood by the actions of her shooter Jonathan Ross, describing Good as a “domestic terrorist”.
But many Chicago residents are against Operation Metro Surge, with more than six in 10 opposing ICE’s higher visibility across the region.
Mayor Brandon Johnson told Politics Nation he personally supported the anti-ICE themed entries in the snowplough competition, calling the federal agency a “privatised force to enact terror”.
The 25 finalists are to be named on February 1, when Chicago residents will vote for their favourite monikers.
A snowplough in each of the city’s six snow districts will each be christened with one of the top six.
