Bush niece jailed

President George W. Bush's niece Noelle, daughter of Florida Governor Jeb Bush, has been jailed for violating the terms of a court-ordered drug treatment programme.

Noelle Bush, 24, was arrested in Tallahassee in January for fraudulently trying to obtain a prescription for the anti-anxiety drug Xanax.

Orange County Circuit Judge Reginald Whitehead jailed her for 72 hours on Tuesday for contempt of court for failing to comply with her treatment programme.
