Bus blast kills 30 in China

A blast in a bus killed about 30 people in China's eastern province of Jiangxi, Xinhua news agency reported.

The bus was travelling from Shenzhen to Zhejiang. At least seven people were also injured, but Xinhua said the exact death toll was hard to determine because of the force of the explosion, which damaged nearby houses.

Explosives or fireworks stored or transported illegally kill hundreds each year in rural China.
