Most beauty pageant entrants say they want to see world peace.
And the current Miss Universe now has the opportunity to help stop fighting in her home country of Colombia after being invited to peace talks by Marxist Farc rebels.
Newly crowned Miss Universe, 22-year-old Paulina Vega, has been askedto peace negotiations between Farc and the Colombian Government, in a bid to put an end 50 years of fighting.
The business student from Barranquilla in the north of the country had previously said she would be willing to travel to the talks.
On their website Farc confirmed they had asked her to negotiations, in Cuba.
The statement said: "We have read with interest your desire to contribute with your good work to reaching peace.
"We salute your willingness to travel to Havana, at this time we invite you to make a visit."
Farc did not say how Vega's input would help advance the peace talks and it is unclear whether she will take up their invitation. She was crowned last month.
