Bashir to walk free

A welcome awaits the alleged spiritual head of the Jemaah Islamiyah terror group, Abu Bakar Bashir, when he walks out of his Jakarta jail tomorrow.

Bashir completes a 25-month term for giving blessings as emir of JI to the Bali bombings which killed 202 people. He is to be met at Cipinang Prison by members of his Majelis Mujihidin Indonesia (Council of Islamic Warriors), which was rallying people to cheer his release.
