Australians should discover their Abo-riginality

White Australians should discover their "personal Abo-riginality", says Germaine Greer.

The Melbourne-born academic and outspoken feminist writer said that white Australia had long seen how it had influenced Aboriginal culture, but was reluctant to acknowledge how the Aboriginal community had affected its culture. "White people should discover their personal Aboriginality," Greer said on ABC radio.

"A great deal of our culture has been affected by Aboriginal people.

"The idea that we have two separate gangs is wrong if you look at our history."
