The 31-year-old was due to appear in Parramatta Local Court via a bedside hearing on Thursday.
The driver of the truck was not injured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A female bystander in her 20s was also treated for minor burns and taken to Blue Mountains Hospital.
Fire and Rescue NSW superintendent Adam Dewberry said at the time the vehicle was on fire when crews arrived.
“Passersby pulled both of the occupants, a lady and a child, out of the vehicle,” he said.
“Firefighters commenced emergency medical treatment on the child, [who] was suffering from some pretty serious burns.”
