Appeal in al Qaeda case

An Australian found guilty of receiving funds from al Qaeda will appeal against his conviction, claiming his interrogation by US and Pakistani officials "contaminated" the prosecution case against him.

Joseph Terrence Thomas, 32, was convicted in the Victoria Supreme Court on a charge of intentionally receiving funds from a terrorist organisation, and was also found guilty of possessing a false passport.
