Firefighters in Charleston , South Carolina, have posed for a calendar to raise funds for local animal charities

An adorable dog that was lucky to survive the brutal treatment she received has showed off her amazing recovery alongside a hunky firefighter in a charity calendar.
Caitlyn, a brown and white Staffordshire-bull terrier mix, was rescued in June last year after she wasfound with her mouth taped shut in South Carolina.
The then-15-month-old pup was treated at a nearby veterinary clinic, before being sent off to a medical foster home to heal up over several months.
Now fully recovered, the two-year-old pooch has posed in the Charleston Animal Society's 2017 Firefighter Calendar alongside a shirtless first responder.
The horrific wounds to her snout were fully healed - although some who picked up the calendar might not have noticed, on account of being distracted by the handsome North Charleston Fire Department Captain, Dustin Ford, who starred in the shot with Caitlyn.

William Dobson, a 41-year-old Charleston man, was accused of animal cruelty last year for how he treated the brave dog.
Caitlyn was found in late May 2015 on a doorstep in Charleston with a length of black electrical taped bound tightly around her mouth cutting off her circulation.
Her snout and tongue were swollen, and she had massive scars across her face.
Caitlyn made a cameo appearance in the same calendar last year, however she was still visibly suffering from her injuries.

The calendar is sold for $20 online, with the money raised going to the Charleston Animal Society's medical fund that is used to save thousands of abused, neglected and abandoned animals every year.
