18 hurt in Sydney Harbour Bridge crash

Eleven children and seven adults have been taken to hospitals in Sydney after a crash between a bus and a motorcycle on the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Paramedics say the bus and motorcycle collided on the bridge about 9.45am (11.45 NZT) on Thursday.

The 18 patients have been taken to various hospitals including St Vincent's, the Royal Prince Alfred and Sydney Children's Hospital.

All are believed to be suffering minor injuries.

The bus is understood to be an ordinary Sydney Buses service.
