104-year-old woman 'too frail' to fly

Australian Immigration Minister Amanda Vanstone said yesterday she would consider allowing a 104-year-old Chinese woman to stay in Australia even though she has been refused a visa.

Cui Yu Hu came to Australia on a 12-month visitor visa in 1995 and, when she attempted to leave, she found no airline would take her because she was too old and frail. The senator will take up her case with officials.
