Two Featherston brothers have pleaded not guilty to aggravated burglary and wounding with intent in relation to a confrontation in Carterton in January.
Califf Anthony Dickson, 25, and Dane Johnathan Dickson, 23, are jointly charged with wounding a man with intent to injure him in Carterton on January 13.
They are also jointly charged with burglary while carrying weapons, namely a crowbar, a pistol and a hammer.
Dane Dickson is charged with two counts of intentional damage and four charges of threatening to kill or cause grievous bodily harm with a firearm.
Judge Peter Butler granted an application from the Crown to hear the two cases together, with no objection from Dane Dickson's lawyer.
Califf Dickson's lawyer was not present.
Califf Dickson was remanded in custody, and Dane Dickson on bail, for a case review hearing on May 23.
