While the image was shared by a flight attendant in the US, who said he found it on a Facebook group for flight attendants, Ben himself has come forward on Twitter – sharing a selfie of himself with the message.
Air New Zealand also responded to the message on Twitter, writing "We do what we can #YaasQueen".
While it wasn't available on this particular flight, Air New Zealand has started rolling out in-flight WiFi on its international flights – so everyone can follow reality tv results at 35,000 feet.
The Kiwi airline has four Boeing 777 aircraft equipped with Wi-Fi, mainly on transtasman routes as well as Nadi, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Buenos Aires.
While its original price tag of $40 per sector drew outrage from passengers, it has since been dropped by ten dollars.
