Herald Travel is combining with West Coast Tourism, Christchurch &
Canterbury Tourism, Air New Zealand and TranzScenic to offer a trip for two to the West Coast worth around $5000.
The prize includes:
- return flights for two on Air New Zealand to Christchurch
- overnight accommodation at both ends of thetrip at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Christchurch
- punting on the River Avon through the heart of the Garden City
- a return trip on the TranzAlpine between Christchurch and Greymouth
- a three-day West Coast experience with Kea Heritage Tours, including a half-day ice walk on either the Franz Josef or Fox glacier, and a visit to Punakaiki's pancake rocks
- accommodation on the West Coast at Punakaiki Resort and Franz Josef Glacier Hotel.
Timing is subject to availability and in the case of the TranzAlpine the trip must be taken between May 1 and October 10 this year.
To be in to win just write your name, address and a daytime phone number on the back of an envelope, add the name of the passenger train which runs between Christchurch and Greymouth, and post to: South Island Holiday, Travel Section, NZ Herald, PO Box 3290, Auckland 1010.
Entries must be in the Herald office by noon next Tuesday. The winner will be announced in Travel on April 6.
