There's a big weekend of music planned at Napier's The Cabana, starting with the fabulous Aaradhna who kicks off her Winter's End tour at the venue on Friday night before making her way around the rest of the country for
a total of six shows. The soul and R&B singer/ songwriter is about to take some time out to write and record new music, so this will be your last time to catch her for a while. Sam Manzanza and the Afro Beat Band take over the place on Saturday night, while on Sunday you can catch iconic Kiwi act Herbs.

Run (or Walk) Like the Wind
Hamilton celebrates the 15th anniversary of its half-marathon this weekend with a special sweetener for participants if any records are broken on the day. The event has 5km, 10km and half-marathon run/walks, spot prizes and 15th anniversary medals for every finisher. The chosen charity for the event is the True Colours children's trust, which you can donate to when you enter online. Runners start and finish at Flagstaff Park, Commodore Ave, Hamilton, on Sunday September 30, from 8.30am-2pm.
