Wairarapa Scarecrow Festival

The Wairarapa town and district of Gladstone will be adorned with more than 200 weird and wonderful creations for its annual Scarecrow Festival, from October 23 to November 7.

A trail map is available to help pinpoint the scarecrows dotting the countryside and there's a Scarecrow Village in a field beside the Gladstone Inn.

Fun events include a Scarecrow Scamper (a fun run and walk), Scarecrow Fair, Scareable Wearable Arts, an art exhibition and a dance.
