Jetstar drops prices for domestic fares in one-day sale

The sale on domestic fares across New Zealand will end tonight.

Thousands of domestic fares in New Zealand have had their prices reduced in Jetstar’s Friday Fare Frenzy sale.

Starting from 12pm and ending at 8pm tonight, more than 30,000 seats on the budget airline’s New Zealand domestic network will go on sale.

“More than 30,000 one-way domestic fares across New Zealand starting from just $35 continues our commitment to offering low fares so our customers can afford to take off more,” a Jetstar spokesperson said.

Popular destinations include Christchurch to Wellington starting from $35, Auckland to Queenstown for $57, Wellington to Queenstown starting from $40 and Auckland to Wellington starting from $40.

Travel dates for the sale vary but include mid-February to late November 2025. The special prices also excludes checked bags.

It comes three days after Air New Zealand launched one of its biggest-ever sales for domestic and international fares.

On Tuesday, the national carrier announced more than 300,000 seats at reduced prices to 27 international and all 20 domestic destinations on Air NZ’s network.
