Stars of the 83rd Annual Golden Globes may soon find themselves jet-setting to New Zealand after winners and presenters were handed million-dollar gift bags that include luxury stays in four of the country’s finest lodges.
Since 2024, the coveted awards show has worked with lifestyle publication Robb Report to curateits “Ultimate Gift Bag”, an extravagant goodie bag exclusively gifted to the big names presenting and sweeping the accolades.
This year’s offerings, delivered to recipients in an Atlas Bespoke-branded duffel bag, include 35 products and experiences, with each worth nearly US$1 million ($1.7m).
The catch? Not all recipients will take home the same gifts. Instead, they’re tasked with selecting their preferred items and adventures, which are divided out to those first in line for them.
For example, the most lavish New Zealand koha including a six-night stay across Flockhill Lodge, Roki Collection and Minaret Station, valued at US$31,707, is only available to one recipient.
On the flipside, up to 20 guests have the chance to indulge in a four-night stay at Wharekauhau Country Estate, where the royals briefly resided while touring New Zealand in 2014.
Wharekauhau Country Estate is located near Cape Palliser in Wairarapa.
Paired with an intimate winemaker dinner, the Wairarapa-based experience comes with a US$14,450 price tag.
The number of travel getaways included in this year’s gift bags were nearly double that of last year, appealing to the globetrotting celebrities lucky enough to secure one of their own.
Robb Report was tasked with soliciting and selecting the properties before narrowing down to the most outstanding options.
In a statement, Minaret Station said it has been “both exciting and an honour to have Minaret Station included in the 2026 Golden Globes gift bag, representing luxury travel in New Zealand on such an iconic international stage”.
The 83rd Golden Globes, hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, were held yesterday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The full list of winners can be found on the Herald.
