Tour de Taranaki

Keen cyclists wanting to join Cycling New Plymouth's Queen's Birthday Tour of Taranaki need to get their entries in by May 23.

The three-day, five-stage tour is suitable for most club cyclists and provides four entry grades, with numbers limited to 50 per grade.

The tour covers 250km, with one of the challenges being the climb to the North Egmont Visitor Centre.

Riders with enough energy left will appreciate Taranaki's rugged backcountry scenery when the tour climbs the Tarata Saddle on the final day.
