Rainbow Springs Nature Park in Rotorua has incorporated an exciting Maori cultural experience into its evening tour. It opens with warriors paddling down Wai-o-whiro stream in a waka, then there's a concert, a traditional, ground-cooked hangi, and a bush walk past glowworms to sacred Fairy Spring. Guests then move on to Rainbow Springs to experience the new illuminations of beauty by night. It takes four hours and starts at 6.15pm daily. Cost is $91 each adult, including hotel pick-up. Bookings are essential.
