Bed: Huge. Comfy. Restful.
The room: The bure has a large combined living area and bedroom looking out on to a private deck with lounger, table and chairs and a plunge pool. A few hundred metres away at the bottom of the garden is the beach. There's a comfortable sofa and coffee table and a huge TV for rainy days. There are no TV stations — just a hard drive with hundreds of movies.
Bathroom: Light and airy with an indoor and outdoor shower and filled with fluffy towels and generous-sized pure Fiji products. Insect repellent was also provided (very welcome as the one I took did not cut it).
Noise: Our bure was at the end of the resort, so no noise apart from the late afternoon rain on the roof.
Food: Typical western fare with some Asian influence. The breakfast is included in room prices and features a huge buffet with a la carte choices, including eggs and pancakes cooked to order. Room service is available throughout the day. I was jealous of the couple who ordered a champagne breakfast.
Vegetarian/ dietary options: Not masses of vegetarian options but the kitchen was more than happy to take meat out of dishes. The Thai chicken and rice without chicken was yummy. The lunch and dinner menu changed daily and featured gluten free items.
Would I return? Already planning our next trip.
