Sounds fishy

Bait your hooks and join locals at the Royale Portage Bay Boating Club's fishing competition from the Portage Resort Hotel in the Marlborough Sounds during Easter.

All fishing must be in Kenepuru Sound, and adult entry is $3 a day or $10 for four days.

Junior entry is $2 or $6 for four days.

Entries must be in by 10am and paid at the resort.

On the last night there is a sausage sizzle after weigh-in - or if you are staying at the Portage, get the chef to cook your catch, and wash it down with some fine Marlborough wine.
