including Happy Valley family area on lower slopes.
Weather is fine and sunny and staff are expecting fine
spring weather for the weekend. Coca-Cola fireworks
spectacular on Saturday.
TUROA
Base of 260cm packed powder.
All lifts open.
Staff say best skiing of the winter with plenty of good
access off trail. Free supervised fun for kids aged 4-10
every afternoon of school holidays. Weather expected to
remain fine over the weekend.
MT HUTT
Superb skiing - packed powder snow on average base of
230cm. Off trail is tracked and untracked powder.
100 per cent terrain open. Weather is fine and clear,
expected to be a little unsettled for Friday and Saturday
but clearing later in the weekend. All facilities operating
except primo half pipe. Nzski.com Peak to Pub multi-sport
event on Saturday. Downhill Dunny race and halfpipe and
skate contest on Sunday.
CARDRONA
Winter snow conditions on a firm 70-160cm base.
Off trail is variable with pockets of powder and some
light spring snow developing on north-facing slopes.
100 per cent of terrain open. All lifts and base facilities
operating. Kid's Korral operating and Bordercross course
open. Weather outlook fine. Staff say field is definitely
closing October 8 as scheduled.
TREBLE CONE
100cm base in Saddle Basin and 50cm in Main Basin.
Weather is beautiful and expected to remain so through
weekend. All facilities open and all terrain skiable.
Flamenco guitarist on Sunday with daily free activities
for kids from 12.30-1.30 every day.
CORONET PEAK
Staff say best spring skiing for years. Good snow cover over
80 per cent of the slopes with an average base of 40cm on the
lower slopes and 60-80cm on the upper slopes. All lifts open
with fine sunny weather expected to hold until the weekend.
Next weekend to be the last night skiing for the season.
REMARKABLES
Nice winter snow after 5-7cm fell on the field.
The upper mountain has a base of 50-70cm, while
the lower field has a 40cm base. All lifts and runs operating,
including the tubing park. Southerly change likely to bring
more snow this weekend. Live entertainment at field most days.
