Shop-a-holic paradise offers pre-Christmas travel specials

Norfolk Island, a shopping paradise with its tax-free status, has a range of vacation specials to cater for people looking to combine a holiday break with some early Christmas shopping.

The vacation packages, which include airfares and accommodation, are priced from $599 per person for a three-night break and valid until November 30,
including over the coming school holiday period (September 22-October 7).

They must be booked and paid for before September 15.

Norfolk Islanders do not pay income, company or sales tax and nor do their visitors with the result that holidaying shoppers can expect savings of 25-40 per cent. With over 70 shops to explore, shopping-minded visitors can expect to be tempted by tax-free prices and just about every luxury brand imaginable. Items range from cosmetics, cameras, clothing and shoes to
electronics, tableware and toys.

The range of pre-Christmas vacation specials includes the $599 three-night package, plus longer holidays - four nights from $660 and seven nights from $799. Some packages include rental car hire while others include a half-day sightseeing tour of Norfolk Island.

Norfolk Island, a 1 hour and 45 minutes flight northwest of Auckland, offers visitors a wide range of holiday experiences including visiting gardens and
coffee plantations, cycling tours of the island, fishing, excursions in glass-bottom boats over one of the South Pacific's most diverse reef systems and exploring the countryside on horses.
