Sails in Wales

The One Ton Cup - a prestigious international sailing event - will be held in Britain next month. From September 6 to 9, the harbour town of Pwllheli (meaning salt water pool) in North Wales will be the place to be for getting as close as possible to the action out on the water. The world championship event for the IC45 racing yachts is expected to attract competitors from New Zealand, Australia, France, Spain and the US.

Nearby attractions include the mountains and castles of Snowdonia National Park.
