What's so good about this place: I had no idea it was the world's tallest hotel, at over 355m, until I began writing this. The Vault bar, on the 71st and 72nd floors, is a great place to watch the sun set over the desert.
What's in the neighbourhood: Not much, to be honest. There's a lot of construction going on in the area. As mentioned earlier, downtown is only a short hop away in a taxi.
Wi-fi: This was one of my only gripes. You can access free wi-fi in public areas of the hotel. However, accessing the internet in your room costs about $24 for a 24-hour period. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Food and drink: On site are 19 restaurants specialising in everything from French to Italian, Indian, Japanese and even Peruvian cuisine.
Exercise facilities: A big gym with a full range of equipment. The treadmills are located above an outdoor smoking area, so you can watch people puffing on cigarettes while running. There's also a great outdoor pool area.
