Ready for some romance in Christchurch

Nostalgia will be to the fore at Starlight Memories, the opening event of the Christchurch Festival of Flowers and Romance, on February 11. Huge screens in the Botanic Gardens will show old-time movies, while a jazz band adds ambience for those picnicking among the flowers. Other events include dancing lessons before the Valentine's Day dance in Cathedral Square. There will also be storytelling, a Flower Power Family Concert, a spectacular floral carpet display in the Cathedral, and much more.
