The trendy holiday letting website, Airbinb is a phenomenon that has grown at a lightning pace since its inception by Californian tech types, in 2008.

This rapid expansion has caused growing pains that have often landed it in the New Zealand news for one reason or another.

Recently it's created headaches for councils and been squeezing rental prices to eye-watering levels.

However, the sheer size and reach of the website has led to some wonderfully weird and wacky holiday homes listings.

Anything from a Pyrenean treehouse, converted jet to remodelled double-decker bus. All of which could be yours to call home at the touch of a button.
