Today happy clappers are in the minority and met with stares from clench-fisted passengers as if to say "you don't get out often, do you?"

There's a popular insult these days that goes by the following formula: "People who [do a disagreeable thing] are the same people who clap when the plane lands." Sometimes it's a variation of "Imagine you meet the love of your life
