But don't let the change in seasons stop you from exploring our great outdoors.

Got To Get Out, a New Zealand social adventure group that aims to get Kiwis off their devices and into the outdoors, has partnered with Torpedo7 to bring more than 100 free events to its members. The aim of Got to Get Out is to improve mental and physical health statistics in New Zealand, and the events will include hiking, mountain-biking, paddle-boarding, skiing and snowboarding. Torpedo7 stores will also host workshops, to help upskill and connect those who don't have the experience to get out on their own.

We caught up with Got to Get Out Founder Robert Bruce to find out his top five adventure spots around New Zealand.

Lake Wainamu, Waitakere Ranges, Auckland
Lake Wainamu is one of the tracks presently open in the Waitakere Ranges. A lovely easy-grade walk for the whole family, including lake-side walking, native bush, waterfalls, and epic sand dunes.

Waikato River Trails, Hamilton
With more than 100km of trails to choose from, there's something for everyone. You can mountain bike or walk different sections of the trails, and there are different grades to cater for all skill and fitness levels.

Makara Walkway, Wellington
Pack a lunch and enjoy stunning views, huge wind turbines, and explore old military installations.

Godley Head Coastal Walk, Christchurch
If you're looking for a fun place to get out in Christchurch, Godley Head track is a great option. Relatively easy grade hiking, lots of spots for lunch, nice loop-options and amazing views.

Queenstown Hill, Queenstown
It's hard to pick a favourite walk in Queenstown, but when factoring ease of accessibility (easy walk to track start from downtown) and views, I think Queenstown Hill has it all. This approximately two-hour return walk is an "up and down" that gives walkers incredible views of Lake Wakitipu and towering mountain ranges.
