Keep the kids entertained at these educational spaces
HMS Belfast
At this unique museum, kids can hop aboard a preserved WWII warship — the largest of its kind in Europe — and explore what it was like to live at sea during wartime. There are nine decks to climb through with different activities and exhibits on each.
The British Museum
One of the greatest museums in the world, the British Museum's collection spans from prehistoric to modern times. Kids will be well entertained at the Digital Discovery Centre and the museum also hosts free events for all ages. There are also free activity backpacks available.
London Transport Museum
Kids can take the wheels off a real bus or try their hand at repairing a tube train at this museum exploring 200 years of transport. A recently-opened play zone for young children has exhibits that are just asking to be clambered on.
Natural History Museum
Meet a life-size blue whale or even a T.Rex — this museum has plenty of amazing critters to keep the kids enthralled. Established in a Romanesque cathedral on Cromwell Rd in 1881, the museum is divided into four colour-coded zones devoted to different aspects of nature.
Science Museum
With plenty of interactive displays, it doesn't get more child-friendly than the Science Museum. Kids of all ages can explore everything from space travel to psychology — and with over 15,000 objects on display, there won't be a minute of boredom.
