Napier marks quake anniversary

This year Hawkes Bay's Brebner Print Art Deco Weekend has been expanded to mark the 75th anniversary of the 1931 earthquake.

From February 9-19 commemorative events will be held from Waipukurau to Wairoa, with steam trains, a vintage railcar, vintage aircraft, plus the participation of the Royal New Zealand Navy.

A road show will visit regional towns, and there will be an outdoor band concert and a vintage air show with military bands.
