Best holiday ever?

I went on a World War II adventure around Europe following the route taken by a company of soldiers. It was epic.

Where's your next holiday?

You tell me!! Somewhere, please. I'd say a beach in New Zealand, really hot, half my body under an umbrella, half out, on a rotation. It's probably going to involve boogey boarding.

Best anti-jetlag tip?

Don't fly. Or if you do, fly one of those obscure airlines that no one really wants to go with. Sure, the food will be crap and there'll be no alcohol but you'll probably get a row of seats to yourself. Win!

Favourite city to visit?

Istanbul is wicked. There's so much to do, eat and drink. So. Many. People. It's got a youthful vibe - the average age in Turkey is 29, I think. Contrasting that with the age of the city makes it one of the more interesting places to explore.

Best get-away-from-it-all place to escape to?

My favourite is Awaroa in the Abel Tasman National Park. My partner Antonia [Prebble] and I go there every year and chill. Totally off the grid, crystalp-clear water, mussels for Africa. It's the Coromandel of the South Island without the people. So don't come. You probably won't because it is a pain to get to.

Describe your ideal money-no-object dream holiday.

I'd say space. You know, like, Outer Space. That would be nice. Just thought I'd float the idea...get it? Geeeet it? I'd also quite like to go to Croatia.
