What was your greatest holiday?
The end of 2013 was one of my busiest times professionally. I had a 13-date Australian tour, had my own primetime specials airing on the Seven Network and was a competitor on Dancing with the Stars Australia. Once this was all completed, I escaped to Phuket with my girlfriend and had two blissful weeks doing absolutely nothing.

And the worst?
The last time I was in Macau I got a nasty dose of food poisoning. I have never felt so sick and was laid up in bed for three days.

If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing?
Just immersing myself in the culture, checking out the local artists and probably eating too much.

If we could teleport you to one place in New Zealand for a week-long holiday, where would it be?
Definitely Queenstown. I've never been there but am obsessed with going.

How about for a dream holiday internationally?
NYC. I love the pace, energy and non-stop action that permeates the city.

What was the most memorable meal you've had while travelling?
The last time I was in Singapore, I went to Morton's Steakhouse at the Mandarin Oriental hotel. The steaks there are superb.

What's the best travel tip you've been given?
Travel as light as possible. One suitcase and one piece of carry-on should be plenty.

Favourite airport at which to land?
Probably Changi Airport in Singapore. I always love browsing through the amazing range of shops. And any airport which has movie theatres, swimming pools, butterfly gardens etc is doing something right.

What's the next trip you have planned?
To New Zealand. I am bringing my live show to Auckland and Wellington. I've had such great experiences in New Zealand, I can't wait to get back there.
