Vineyards are not just for grown-ups wanting to taste wines.
The Matua Valley Winery in Waikoukou Valley Rd, Kumeu, west of Auckland, is also a prime picnic spot. For unplanned picnics, a few of the basics - like French bread and crackers, cheeses and pates - are sold on site.
