Winter getaway weekends in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds are given another dimension with the addition of some special events at the Portage Resort.
On June 26 and 27, master of wine Bob Campbell conducts an educational wine-tasting afternoon, followed by a delectable dinner with wine matched by John Forrest ofForrest Estate Wines.
Forrest also conducts a master class on riesling, August 14 and 15.
On Saturday, July 31 there's a mid-winter Christmas, which promises all the fare and festivities of a traditional celebration.
