Jet boat ride a thrill-seekers' delight

A heart-thumping 360-degree spin is a highlight of a ride in Huka Jet - a 30-minute jet-boating adventure in Wairakei Park, Taupo.

Ten minutes north of Taupo township, or a 45-minute drive south of Rotorua, the Huka Jet ride costs $59, or $30 for children 15 and under. Under-5s ride for free - but they must be at least 1m tall.

The Hukastar Experience adds the excitement of a 10-minute helicopter flight over countryside, the Huka Falls and steaming thermal areas. The helicopter and jet-boat package costs $130 a person or $80 for those 15 years old and under.
