The Jacksons Road Summer Vines 2022 festival returns on Saturday November 12. Who better to tell us more than Nicole Taylor: Cellar Door Sales & Marketing expert at Jackson Estate Marlborough?
In Marlborough, the climate is amazing; the wine even better! We have so much to offer while still feelinglike a small town, including our one-day Jacksons Road Summer Vines Festival.
The event boasts four different venues including Moa, Allan Scott, Cloudy Bay and Jackson Estate - all on the same road, with a bus provided between each site. Guests are guaranteed a relaxed atmosphere, great food offerings, food trucks and pop-ups from Cloudy Bay clams, Picton Food Cartel, La Ruca and Burkart's Crays, and, of course, beautiful Marlborough wine and beer.

The event has been running since February 2021, when we saw most festivals cancelling and the atmosphere a bit sad, so we got together with our local council and closest neighbours and decided to give our local crowd something to look forward to – we had seven weeks and a small budget – but we gave it a go and it was very successful, so here we are: round two is locked in for November 12.

This year's entertainment lineup has Jodie Doreen playing at Cloudy Bay, Allan Scott is featuring DJ Nico, Moa has DJ Red Robin and Jackson Estate has Midge McCleary & Betsy. There's something for everyone.
Then there's the wine of course. Here at Jackson Estate, we are in Sauvignon Country, so our Stich Sauvignon Blanc is hugely popular. However, after taking away the trophy for 'Best Pinot Noir in the World', our stunning Vintage Widow Pinot Noir has definitely put us on the map.
Easily one of the best ways to enjoy our award-winning wines is at the Summer Vines Festival: sitting outside in the sun, listening to live music, surrounded by friends and enjoying one of the onsite food trucks.

If you miss it, fear not, we are gearing up for Christmas bookings and work functions, and we're pairing up with Life Education Trust Marlborough for a Paint and Sip afternoon in the vines.
