Do you travel light or heavy?
Fairly light. Usually I pull everything out I want to pack and make a conscious effort to put 50 per cent away again.
Cattle or first class?
Mostly cattle, but business for special occasions like our honeymoon.
What's the best thing you've brought
back from a trip?
An amazing piece of art from a little gallery in Sayulita, Mexico. It is is a pile of gorgeous handmade metal roses, forming a cross. Also, old cinema posters from Havana.
Favourite or most exciting airport to land in?
So far, Havana. It's like walking on to the set of a 1950s movie.

Do your research.
Most memorable trip?
Missing our flight out of Puerta Vallarta on January 2nd this year, with all flights out overbooked for the next three days. Missing this would have meant we would miss our connection from Mexico City to Miami and our time with family there. So with all the acting skills, terrible Spanish and charm we could muster, we blagged our way to the gate of another flight - not even the same airline - and hustled our way on, in turn making the next flight to Miami.
To this day we don't know how we did it!
