A devastated homeowner who rented her Parisian studio apartment on Airbnb returned to find it reduced to a 'squat' strewn with faeces, urine and rubbish.
Horrifying pictures posted on social media show the property littered with empty alcohol bottles, damaged furniture and soiled bed sheets.
The beleaguered homeowner, understood tobe 23-year-old model and dancer Laurie Synakowski, is now seeking compensation after the tenant caused some £10,000 worth of damage following the three-week stay.
She also says her flat is now infested with insects, with a pungent smell leaving it uninhabitable.

The homeowner, identified on the site as Laurie S, is now seeking compensation after the tenant caused some £10,000 worth of damage following the three-week stay.
She says she did not meet the Canadian man who rented the property, but her neighbours said he appeared "nice".
Laurie claims she later learned the man was "suffering from alcoholism and depression".
She added her "charming studio recently met a malicious person".
And she has since taken to Facebook in a bid to seek compensation from Airbnb after being told by a building firm the estimated damage will cost around €10,000 (£9,100) to repair.

Pictures show warped flooring, a jammed front door and badly damaged shower room and toilet, with the toilet seat dumped in the sink.
Accompanying the photos, she wrote: "[My] charming new studio has literally transformed itself into a vulgar 'squat' filled with excrement, urine and an impressive quantity of alcohol bottles.
"The urine has taken possession of the charming studio from the floor to the ceiling; the plancher floor, the entrance door which hardly closes, the bed which has served as a toilet.
"I was really shocked and devastated when I came back [to find] my studio in that state.
"The profile of the individual did not show any suspicion, having a positive comment from a previous host who had received it.
"The costs are enormous. The cleaning of the apartment requires the intervention of professionals who necessarily charge disinfection and excreta removal."
According to The Local, Airbnb said the renter who allegedly caused the damage had now been banned from using the app.

Airbnb told France 3 television: "This type of bad experience is extremely rare," adding only 0.009 per cent of some 30 million flats rented on its site last year were seriously damaged.
Laurie told The Local Airbnb only begun investigating her claim when French media picked up her story.
