It depends on how long or involved
the trip is; anything from overnight bags to oversized suitcases to backpacks.
What's always in your hand luggage?
A great book or two, toiletries, water and snacks.
Are you a planner or last-minute packer?
I'm an excellent last-minute packer, but I'm a little bit earnest (ie annoying) if I have time to pack, making sure we have everything.
What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
Good travel stories.
Favourite or most exciting airport to land in?
Landing in Wellington's generally an exciting prospect, but not in a fun way ...
Best travel tip?
Always carry hand sanitiser and wipes, handy for many an unforeseen event.
Most memorable trip?
I've travelled in and around destinations by airplane, motorbike, taxi, elephant, private car, tuktuk ... Motorbiking in Vietnam is an unforgettable experience.
What do you do on the plane?
I wish I could say "read political analyses of the country I'm visiting", but the truth is I scoff all the free food, then force myself to stay awake to watch as many movies as possible before the plane lands.
