Several vineyards on Waiheke Island combine to host a Jazz & Blues Festival over Labour Weekend, October 25-27. As well as afternoon music among the vines, there'll be evening concerts at Artworks theatre and a strolling Dixie band in Oneroa. Wine and food available at all venues.

Step back in time
Matthew's Vintage Collection near Taipa, Northland has a Family Fun Day on October 25. There will also be demonstrations of butter making, shearing, spinning, pianola playing and much more. Live music, a bouncy castle, tractor rides, and food and beverage stalls complete the picture. It runs 10am-4pm and costs $8 adults, $4 kids, which includes three rides.
