Hub and spokes

The Railway Enthusiasts Society has organised a Labour Weekend hub and spokes rail tour from Auckland to Picton, and a few points east and west.

The tour leaves Auckland on October 20 for Palmerston North, which is the hub for various trips, the spokes, to Napier, Wellington, Wanganui and Picton.

The society also has a a Republic Day excursion from Auckland to Whangamoana on October 28. And on October 29 there will be an excursion to Helensville.
