Hong Kong locals point the way

For those daunted by street-stall mayhem and uncertain where to find cheap and safe food, the Hong Kong Tourist Association has published a guide to the city's food stalls, tea houses, congee parlours and outdoor food stands.

The Hong Kong Snacks Guide highlights inexpensive ways to enjoy authentic, cheap and cheerful meals at the kind of back-street establishments visitors would like to be brave enough to discover.

This guide rounds up the best of those. All the suggestions have been made by local people.
