Mareen Rohde, 20, and Isabel Pott, 19, from Germany, were spotted in Wakefield St, Wellington.

Where are you visiting from?

Both: Germany.

How long have you been here?

Mareen: I've been here for five months.

Isabel: I've been here for four months.

What have you been doing today?

Mareen: We've just been in the Botanical Gardens, then St Paul's Cathedral, just to visit. We're going sailing in one hour.

What are your plans this summer?

Mareen: I'm going travelling in the South Island. She's [pointing to Isabel] going travelling with her family.

What's the best local snack/eatery/bar in Wellington you've found?

Mareen: Sweet Mother's Kitchen [at 5 Courtenay Place]. And I also like Dakota's. And Lone Star's quite good.

What is your favourite place in the world to visit?

Mareen: So far, New Zealand.
