Grapes galore

Waikato's Vilagrad winery celebrates its 100th harvest with a festival every Saturday from April 22-May 13. Try traditional grape stomping and watch grapes being pressed in an historic basket press before joining in the revelry provided by live Latin music and Brazilian dancers. There's also a four-course meal featuring Mediterranean cuisine. Vilagrad winery also has tasting tours. It's at 702 Rukuhia Rd, Ohaupo.
